The region of Alfoz de Burgos, an example of Romanesque architecture
Location: It is in the center of the province of Burgos in the autonomous community of Castile-Leon. Within this region the river Arlanzón crosses throughout its territory from East to West with various tributaries. In addition the area is integrated which is known as the Duero basin.
Municipalities: Thirty municipalities composed of Alfoz de Burgos region, many of them with only twenty inhabitants. The capital city is Burgos which is also across the province and where the majority of the population is concentrated.
What to see? This region is full of remnants of its past and in particular of the Romanesque style that caused a sensation in the area. Many churches and monuments are clear examples of this artistic movement as it is the case of the Cathedral of Burgos, very visited by tourists throughout the year.

How to reach? To reach the region of Alfoz de Burgos you must take the national road coming from Madrid and that connects the North of Spain. In the case that I have to choose an airport, best is the capital of Spain that has numerous flights throughout the year.
